I live by the Adriatic Sea, in a small country called Croatia. Even since my childhood I was fascinated with historical costumes, the magic world of corsets and crinolines and that is how I chose my vocation - Fashion design and textile technology where I graduated with honor as one of the best student in my class.
My first corset was a college project for a Historical Museum of Zagreb - a replica of the entire of the countess Oršić historical costume where it was kept as a part of the museum's collection. After finishing the college, back in 2006, I started researching on patterns, fitting and building techniques and started making corsets for limited circle of local customers. For several years I worked as a teacher of fashion drawing and design in the Department of Art and Design of Trade and Textile School. I also work as a writer for Corsetmaker's Companion - Foundations Revealed. I draw my inspiration mostly from gothic, fetish and avant-garde styles and I love to experiment with new patterns, fabrics and techniques. My focus is on unique, high quality custom made garments with an accent on the visual appearance- hourglass shaped silhouette and design. |
